Captains Day 2021

Captains Day at The Knutsford Golf Club is always a day to look forward to, as the Captain is given the chance to put his spin on a fabulous event. On the 23^rd of June, Captain Rob Simms hosted members on the superbly prepared course, as the glorious sunshine rained down on the competitors.

Every detail was thought out, from the homemade snacks and Captains’ signature Espresso Martini at the halfway house, to the wonderful menu of hot food prepared by Steve Barker and his clubhouse team. Numerous quality prizes were up for grabs including apparel, a delicious Malbec, and the prized Captains Day trophy, among others.

We want to wish a huge congratulations to the day’s winner Jim Kenyon, scoring an outstanding 41 points. And well done to the runners up, in second place Tony Hutchinson, and third place John Phibbs.

Thank you to the Captain and his family for making such a memorable day, the members appreciated your impeccable hospitality, and there are definitely a few extra converts to the Espresso Martini Club.
