Mens Section
The Men’s section of Knutsford Golf Club runs a varied and packed calendar of competitions all year round. 18-hole competitions run every Saturday for full members and are played in a friendly, yet competitive spirit. There is a wide range of formats played including nine Annual Board Competitions, Monthly Medals, Individual Stablefords, and various Teams and Pairs competitions throughout the year. Presentations follow every Saturday competition allowing members to socialise and congratulate the day’s victors in the clubhouse with our traditional “drink on the sweep” always popular! (presentations currently not running due to club following Covid-Safe guidance).
There are also annual, single and pairs match play knock-out competitions, weekly 9- & 18-hole roll-up competitions, Sunday Morning ‘fun competitions with lunch included, Wednesday evening summer stableford competitions with a light meal afterwards, 3 Club competitions, Par 3 competitions, nine & dine, an annual long drive competition, and many more. The Club also plays home and away ‘match-play’ fixtures against the likes of Mere, Hale, Delamere and Wilmslow, which are often fiercely contested in great spirit!
If that wasn’t enough we also have a very active Men’s Seniors Section who organise their own matches and competitions.
As well as club competitions there are a number of less formal gatherings, which provide an excellent way for a new member to integrate such as the Tuesday Roll-up.

The PGA and its professionals always look forward to being part of the Knutsford Pro-Am and this year was no different. Fortunately the weather behaved after a little bit of morning rain and the course held up fantastically. We saw some fantastic scoring both in the professional contest and the team Pro-Am, congratulations to all the winners. Huge thanks to Bob Sutton for being a great organiser, personally I always look forward to working with Bob year in year out. We at the PGA already cannot wait for next year’s Knutsford Pro-Am.

Your game needs to be in good order to play this interesting Course which is always in superb condition, has excellent greens and a challenging last two holes.
