Ladies Section
The Ladies Section is a very enthusiastic community!
We encourage, befriend and support new golfers, helping our new members get engaged and involved with all aspects of the club. The section operates with full autonomy and equality within the club. Competitions are held across a number of days including Wednesdays, with well attended presentations afterwards, and Weekends to cater for as wide a cross-section of members as possible. Mixed golf, nine-hole competitions and fun days make up the active and sociable ladies section calendar.
For the last five years, Knutsford Golf Club has been running an annual ‘Get into Golf’ programme, to attract and introduce new ladies to the sport. So far, we have had upwards of 50 ladies go through the programme, and transition into active and enthusiastic golfers, playing regularly in competitive and/or social golf.
Knutsford Golf Club is a signatory to the R&A Women in Golf Charter. See here for detail of the charter, and our plan to deliver our charter commitments, to :
- Get more women and girls playing golf and joining clubs
- Inspire more families to enjoy golf as a leisure activity
- Encourage more opportunities for women to work in golf
The Ladies section is very friendly and caring, and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have a great course, friendly clubhouse and enthusiastic membership.

The PGA and its professionals always look forward to being part of the Knutsford Pro-Am and this year was no different. Fortunately the weather behaved after a little bit of morning rain and the course held up fantastically. We saw some fantastic scoring both in the professional contest and the team Pro-Am, congratulations to all the winners. When I played KGC recently the course was in fantastic condition. It often goes unnoticed that to get a golf course in top shape, it takes committed individuals behind the scenes.
