The Knutsford Golf Club are proud to announce their partnership with Knutsford Academy. The Club are committed to encouraging participation in golf amongst young people, and removing barriers to entry which can often make the sport seem daunting for a beginner.
Knutsford Professional, Tim Maxwell has generously offered six lessons as a prize to be awarded to one of the academy’s outstanding students this academic year. Golf can provide many benefits for mental and emotional development, not to mention the physical aspects of the activity. Young people who take up the sport can expect to practice personal responsibility, learn etiquette, and spending time outdoors in the fresh air is proven to reduce stress levels.
Honorary Secretary, Peter Gough, met with Knutsford Academy’s Assistant Head of Year 9, Tom Horner, to provide a tour of the grounds and discuss the club’s commitment to developing its junior players. Presenting Knutsford Golf Club with a “Business Partner Shield”, Tom said “We are proud that Knutsford Golf Club is now one of our partners, and these two organisations can continue to work together for the benefit of our community.”
