Captain’s Drive In Texas Scramble
A fabulous Captain’s Drive In Texas Scramble was enjoyed by our members on Saturday. The day started with champagne and snacks at the first tee courtesy of our new Captain, Nigel Jenkins, who then smashed a drive 285 yds down the first in front of an excited gallery (so he said… )
As always, we had a tremendous early evening presentation to celebrate the winners and also-rans Pipped into second place on 53 points, on a card play off, was the Captain’s team with our President, Hon Sec and Hon Treasurer The winning team included Juniors James Maxwell and Dominic Smith ably mentored by Joe Stanley and Tom Roe.
Well done to everyone who took part and made it a fantastic occasion plus BIG THANKS to our greens team for getting the course into a playable condition after a very wet week; to our clubhouse team for the excellent food and drinks; and to our comps team for making a texas scramble work so well.
