Captain’s Dinner and Presentation of 2020 Awards

The Knutsford Golf Club was thrilled to celebrate its members achievements at the rescheduled Presentation of 2020 Prizes and Trophies, on the 29^th of October 2021. Despite being postponed due to COVID restrictions, the 2020 Captain David Kelly AKA “Captain COVID”, gave a brilliant speech reflecting on what had been a year of many ups and downs for the club and its members.

The evening was the first sizeable social event since lockdown restrictions had lifted, with all attendees enjoying the camaraderie and chance to catch up with close friends. A delicious menu was prepared, including an aromatic Thai green chicken curry, Caribbean prawn curry and Armenian lamb, accompanied by matching side dishes.

Monthly medals were also awarded, and the short speeches made by major winners kept the room filled with laughter. The club would like to give its thanks and appreciation to Phil Welch for his meticulous organisation of the evening, and the clubhouse team whose impeccable service made this a night to remember for all involved.
